BECOME A MENTOR

Mentorships

As our students leave Tanglin and embark on their chosen fields of study, we are often asked for help to connect them with fellow alumni who have taken similar paths or can offer career advice as they look ahead to their future. One of the new features of the Alumni portal is the mentorship module, which allows alumni to connect with one another.

We invite alumni (former students, staff, and parents) from all industries and around the world to consider being a mentor, as this can be done virtually. It will be very helpful to have a diverse group of mentors from various vocations who are passionate about sharing their experiences.

Tanglin Trust School Foundation Internship Programme

Established in 2016, our internship initiative offers a unique opportunity for Tanglin Alumni aged 18-25 to gain valuable work experience within the familiar halls of Tanglin Trust School. As a platform designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional development, this program enables participants to contribute meaningfully to our school community while refining their skills and exploring potential career paths.

Internships are offered across Infant, Junior, and Senior School, covering a diverse range of roles. Whether you are a current Y13 student or a university graduate, there is a place for you to contribute and grow academically and professionally.

Details for our 2025 programme will be announced in January 2025

Provide Work Experience

Our working Alumni can also contribute by offering five-day placements, creating invaluable opportunities for mentorship and skill enhancement for our Year 10 students. Through these placements, alumni can share their professional expertise, insights, and real-world experiences, providing students with a firsthand understanding of various industries. This engagement not only fosters a sense of community but also helps students explore potential career paths, make informed decisions about their future, and develop crucial skills for the workforce. By giving back in this meaningful way, alumni become instrumental in shaping the next generation and preparing them for success.
